My Story

I grew up in Houston, Texas with a desire to go on the overseas mission field to help people as a medical doctor, but there was only one problem: my brain turned to mush during math and science! While spending my junior year of college at Wheaton College, I heard one of my professors, Lyle Dorsett, say words that forever changed my life: “Some of you in this room want to be medical doctors. But God is raising up a generation of people, some of whom are in this room, to be doctors of the soul.” At that moment, the direction of my life changed. I knew God was calling me to be a doctor of the soul and to help people heal through connection and restorative relationship with Jesus Christ. I came home to Texas, graduated from Texas A&M University, and moved to Houston to begin my own journey of healing and restoration. In everyday life, I regularly encounter the power of God to save and restore women like you and me through His Word, prayer, and community. I am currently in graduate school pursuing a master’s in counseling, and I love to write resources for women of all ages to use in their own healing journey. Most days, you can find me at home writing and studying, connecting with women through prayer or on a run, spending time with my family, and hiking in the mountains whenever I get the chance for an adventure.

My Family

Apart from Jesus Christ, my greatest love is my husband, Jason.  We have been married for twenty-five years and have four beautiful daughters.

We adopted our youngest daughter from China when she was seventeen months old. Her journey of healing spurred on our journey of healing and restoration as well. Through her, we learned how to restore our past and rebuild our present, trusting God as our good Heavenly Father. As a family, we love spending time together with God in His Word, on our knees in prayer, and asking Him to use us together for restoration for a generation.

Restored life comes through healing the real pain and brokenness from the past. We don’t bury the past, forget the past, or linger too long in the past, but we bring the past to Jesus and let Him transform our pain through the healing power of His Spirit and Word. Our greatest sorrows become the seeds for our greatest joys as we learn to see our past through a different lens.
My Vision

Restoration is a journey, not a moment.

We bring the real pain of our past to Jesus — not to bury it, but to let Him transform it. His Spirit and Word do what nothing else can. And when He restores you, something shifts beyond you — in your home, your relationships, and the women who are watching. You're not just healing for yourself. You're healing for who comes next.

My Mission

I want to walk with women toward restoration — and to help them carry it forward.

Through the Restore Pathway, we do the honest work of healing — in God's Word, in our stories, in the places we've been afraid to look. One woman at a time. One family at a time. One generation at a time.

Restoration for a Generation begins with you.
